Top 5 Getting Ready Tips

  1. ~ Getting ready - allow plenty of time. Aim to be ready 60 mins before your ceremony. This gives you a buffer, incase you run over. Time to get your dress on, have any touch ups. organise first looks, have a drink, some photos or a breather or a quiet moment before walking down the aisle. Running late really impacts the overall vibe of the wedding morning, we want you to enjoy every second.

  2. ~ Continuing on, Brides please make sure you have someone with you on your day who knows exactly how your dress works. Whether it’s buttons, the corset, a bustle. Maybe have a practice run or two, with them before the day. MOH attending your dress fitting is also a great idea. top tip - bring a crochet hook if your dress has lots of buttons.

  3. ~ We absolutely love to capture all of the details. The little things you’ve considered for weeks and months in the lead up. Couples, make sure you have your details all grouped together prior to getting ready. This way we can capture shots of your aftershave, cufflinks, bouquets, shoes etc. It’s so lovely to have them all photographed, to look back on and set the scene, in years from now

  4. ~ Feeling nervous? Take some deep breaths, remember that everyone here loves you, they’re here to celebrate you. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a moment to yourself and we can reassure you that as soon as you see each other at the top of the aisle, those nerves will fade away. This will be a magical day.

  5. ~ A wedding gift idea - smell is one of the most powerful memory triggering senses - treat each other to a new fragrance just for your wedding day. The smell will take you back to the very moment you were getting ready to say “I do” Then save it for anniversaries, special dates etc!
